The Municipal Clerk of the Year Award recognizes a member of the Arkansas City Clerks, Recorders and Treasurers Association (ACCRTA) who has made significant contributions to the profession and to the improvement of municipal government in Arkansas and the clerk’s own community. Qualities are length of service, good relationship with other clerks, interest in education, attendance at regional/national conferences, community volunteerism, and advancing and supporting the municipal clerks association.

Any municipal official or ACCRTA member may nominate a candidate for Municipal Clerk of the Year for 2025. The finalist will be honored at the 91st Annual Convention of the Arkansas Municipal League, June 18-20, in Little Rock. Click here to download a fillable PDF nomination form. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 2.

Requirements for nominees include:

      • Has been an active ACCRTA member for at least five years.
      • Holds a city clerk/recorder/treasurer or deputy position.
      • Is a Certified Municipal Clerk or Certified Arkansas Municipal Clerk.
      • Provides service to other municipal clerks in the state as the opportunity exists.
      • Exhibits leadership.
