Providence Park, a North Little Rock nonprofit dedicated to providing permanent housing and support services for Pulaski County’s chronically homeless individuals, received a $100,000 grant from CHI St. Vincent Common Spirit to improve community health and health equity, the organization announced in April.
In partnership with Pulaski County, Providence Park is developing a 50-acre master-planned community to provide affordable, permanent housing and a supportive environment for individuals transitioning out of chronic homelessness. The funding, awarded through the Community Health Initiatives Grant Program, will enhance Providence Park’s on-site health clinic, ensuring residents have access to essential medical, mental health and dental care. The clinic will serve as a vital resource in the nonprofit’s mission to create a safe and dignified environment for individuals transitioning from homelessness.
“Ensuring we have what we need to care for our neighbors, especially those coming from years of trauma, as they start their pathway to healing, is one of the many goals within Providence Park,” said Errin Stanger, founder and CEO of Providence Park. “Being able to serve this community through medical, mental health, and dental care is a dream realized for our neighbors.”
