In honor of our great nation hitting the big 2-5-0 this year, Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup is now the Greatest American Cleanup! Keep America Beautiful invites all citizens to take the pledge to make their communities cleaner, greener and more beautiful for America’s 250th celebration, setting a goal to remove 25 billion pieces of litter from parks, waterways and public spaces by July 4.
Take part here at home by joining the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission and your fellow Arkansans for the Greatest American Cleanup in Arkansas. The annual spring cleanup event runs until May 31 and offers volunteers the opportunity to organize events to beautify their communities. Once a community signs on to host a Greatest American Cleanup in Arkansas event, KAB helps organize and publicize the effort and provides volunteers with trash bags, gloves, safety vests and T-shirts while supplies last. Promotional materials such as customizable media releases, banners and volunteer stickers, as well as how-to videos and safety tips, are also available on the website.
