Launched during the 2024 Winter Conference, the Arkansas Civic Education (ACE) Program recently celebrated its one-year anniversary! With more than 1,500 members registered in ACE certification and more than 125 on-demand credits offered, the program is off to the races. Our members have celebrated the program’s ease of use and the quality of the training courses. ACE provides both in-person and on-demand training, and credits from the League’s previous voluntary certification program are transferable.
ACE Program Highlights
- New on-demand credits are added each May and December in the ACE Hub.
- In-person credits are offered at the Winter Conference, Annual Convention and at regional meetings (select in-person credits are recorded for subsequent on-demand credit opportunities).
- Newly elected municipal officials were provided free, on-demand Civilpedia training in January 2025 (fundamentals of municipal governance) with additional programming at Winter Conference tailored to newly elected officials.
- The ACE Program offers levels of certification:
- Civilpedia Certified (25 total credits)
- ACE Certified (75 total credits)
- ACE Advanced (150 total credits)
- ACE Master (250 total credits)
- Participants who achieve certification are recognized at the Annual Convention.
Building on the past year’s momentum, the League is happy to announce the launch of ACE SafeTrack Certification, an innovative, on-demand workplace safety training program designed to provide essential safety education to Arkansas’ frontline workers. Housed within the ACE Hub, this program continues AML’s commitment to enhancing professional development and safety across its general membership. ACE SafeTrack ensures that essential safety training is always accessible, empowering municipal employees to learn anytime, anywhere. League Loss Control Liaison Allen Green is thrilled that in addition to the in-person training he provides, our members now have access to on-demand workplace safety training.
